So I met this dude around last year after listening to a few dope joints he did with Quietude, Time Travel in particular was my favourite cut. Fast track we meet up again early this year and he's still maintained this cool persona, his rapping has elevated to his own status, as if he was a young man coming of age. So we continue our conversation about Hiphop and what not, till he tells me he's working on a mixtape which was untitled at that stage. So we chop it up a bit more cause I hear a lot of the “I'm dropping a mixtape” talk, so my intention was to get to understand what he understood about a mixtape. When that conversation was over I'll admit I was a bit more hyped up about the tape than he was, “Elements Of Fire, A Dream Deferred” was the title and 31^st October was set as a release date.

Now I'm one of those cats that play the fuck out of new music and this tape was no different from most of my favourite music I've collected in 2012. The tape is well balanced with a sound for you new school cats, some mature verses for Ou Toppies like myself, shit even a few joints for the ladies.

The production on the tape is top quality, the tracks were well thought out and execution was everything hence the result is a Tape that who ever is a fan will keep for some time to come. Bakdraft has proved to me that he understands the music his stories are genuine and honest on tracks like Who Takes the Fall, Colour of You, Words of Thanks, Memories and Walk with me.
